Your 1 day Mountain Bike experience starts with an amazing 12 minute flight via helicopter from Queenstown airport to beyond the Remarkables, landing on the barren rocky landscape of the Old Woman range. They are covered in snow throughout the winter and resemble a moonscape in the dry summers.

A 1700m descent and a 3-5 hr ride down await. We vary the ride to suit rider ability, from fast flowing trails to more technical single track. There is also some up hill riding.

Finishing at Bannockburn with either lunch at a vineyard or have a beer and a pie at the pub, this is a fantastic way to start off any New Zealand cycling holiday.

Allow at least 6 hours.

BRIEF ITINERARY

This is a single-day Mountain bike tour and as such there is no specific itineary for this particular day, othar than having loads of fun and excitement mountain-biking down the side of the Old Woman Range.

back pack, water, sunscreen, sun glasses, riding clothes (they can also be hired or bought as part of your trip), wind breaker, thermals (seasonal, we will tell you if they are required), camera
