The start is on the six-lane Strasse des 17. Juni near "Kleiner Stern" and finishes near the Brandenburg Gate.  The route is traffic-free, extremely flat and very fast and was host to Haile Gebrselassie's world record run of 2:03:59 in 2008...PACKAGES NOW ON SALE!!!

The race starts at the top of the Champs Elysees and finishes at the bottom of Avenue Foch.  The Paris Marathon is a relatively flat course with a maximum elevation of just over 60 metres.

Welcome to a tough, unique marathon in truly magnificent scenery. Greenland's endless ice and snow make up the backdrop of this unusual race, in which runners pass glacier tongues, moraine landscapes and soundless, arctic desert.

The race begins in Prague's Old Town Square, goes through the city's historical centre, crosses over the Charles's Bridge and then heads out towards the suburbs before turning around and finishing back in the Old Town Square.

Both start and finish are along Via Dei Fori Imperiali (which has the colosseum at one ends and Piazza Venezia at the other). The race takes you through the historic piazzas of the Capital such as the Piazza di Spagna (the Spanish Steps), past Saint Peter's, the Synagogue and the Mosque as well as to the Olympic Stadium.

The Marathon start is located in Stra (a small country town about 25 km west of Venice), at the beginning of "Riviera del Brenta", the beautiful riverside area where rich and noble Venetians built their vacation mansions in the 18th century. The finish is in the historic centre of Venice, on the embankment.

The start of the Virgin London Marathon is on Blackheath Common and Greenwich Park, with the route as a whole designed to follow the Thames as closely as possible.  The finish is in the heart of the capital and goes past Buckingham Palace and down The Mall.  The course is relatively flat and it was host to...
