The hilly character of the Phuket landscape has presented the course designer with a challenge as finding a 42 kilometers long, flat stretch is difficult on the island. Nevertheless, organisers have come up with an attractive, flat course passing through the island’s lush vegetation and past some of Phuket’s famous beaches. Thai music bands will support the runners with typical Thai sounds along the way

The entry fee for the Phuket International Marathon is US $50, which is non-refundable.

Registration on the race day is NOT Accepted.
There are no qualifying times for this event.
The race starts at 5:00am.
There is a seven (7) hour cut-off for the Marathon. At that time the runners who have yet to finish will be picked up along the way. If, however, there are still quite a few people on the course, and they are near the end of the race, the race organisers will let them finish.
The Marathon and Half Marathon will be timed using the ChampionChip Timing systems.
Race packets will include your running number and a Phuket International Marathon t-shirt.
There are no pace setters in this event.
Every 1.5 to 2.5 km there will be a clearly marked aid station providing water (in cups & bottles), from 12.5km onwards Gatorade and fresh fruits will be provided to all runners. In addition there will be sponges with ice water to keep everyone as cool as possible.
Some sports drinks are available in the shops in Thailand but gels, power bars and the like are not yet available in Thailand so you will need to bring your own if you intend to use them in the race. There will be a bag-drop to store your personal belongings.
The Start and Finish point of all races is at the Laguna Phuket resort. There will be free use of the inter-resort shuttle buses to race start.
All finishers will receive a special Commemorative Medal. There will also be trophies for Category Winners.
