THE COURSE

The starting point and official opening ceremony will take place in the grounds of Phumrinkudeethong Temple, Samut Songkram, and many cultural experiences will greet competitors along the route. This is more than a race, it is a cultural extravaganza!

You will be welcomed at the starting line by the amazing spectacle of traditional Thai dancers and Monks for the Official Opening and Merit Making ceremony. It is a mostly flat course interrupted by small bridges leading along klongs (water canals) with lots of turns passing temples, small villages, fruit plantations and rice paddies. The surface is mostly asphalt with short stretches on dirt roads. You will be entertained and motivated along the way by local children cheering you on, exotic dancers and musicians, and villagers out just to see these "mad foreigners!"
