- It is the responsibility of each participant to have a valid passport and to obtain a valid visa be-fore travelling into India.
- Participation is purely at your own risk. All extra costs incurred, no matter what the cause, will under no circumstances be the responsibility of the Great Tibetan Marathon Company.
- Concerning medical risks - all active participants must declare that they are in good health. The Great Tibetan Marathon brings its own team of specialised physicians and nurses to India to assure that every injured participant receives suitable treatment. This is also the reason why com-pulsory travel insurance has been included in the package price.

There are no qualifying times for the Great Tibetan MarathonMarathon.
The Great Tibetan Marathon starts at 7:00am.
There is an 8 hour cut-off for the Great Tibetan Marathon.
The ChampionChip timing system will be used. Every runner will be given a Chip when collecting his or her bib and kit bag. This chip must be fixed to the lacing of one of your shoes.
Race Packets will be handed out to you at your hotel in Leh
There are no Pace Setters in the Great Tibetan Marathon
Refreshments and food will be located every 5kms.
There will be water, raisins, oranges and bananas available. Sponge stations will be located at the 7.5km mark and every 5km thereafter.
There will be Medical assistance provided from the 12.5km mark and every 5km thereafter.
Personal refreshments can be placed on the course by handing your drinks/food to one of the race officials. Also, a clothing bag will be provide so that clothes can be transported to the finish line from the start
Transport to the start and from finish of the race is provided as part of the your itinerary.
All finishers will receive a specially made Great Tibetan Marathon medal.
