New York City Marathon - USAIts now a little over 2 months since the New York marathon. I just wanted to say thanks to you all for making this event so easy. Great accommodation at the Hudson and the add-ons with the running top, bus ride, pre-race briefing and the post-race drinks, plus the photos that came through all added to the excitement of the event. That’s now 2 marathons I have done via Travelling Fit (Paris in 2014 was my first). Seriously looking at London for 2018 now! This has been my 3rd NY Marathon and the team were excellent. The team at Travelling fit really bring the essence of Australia to New York everytime. Having everything organised and planned made the trip a breeze. I had the pleasure of bringing 9 runners over as a coach and they all had a great time. The tour of NY on the bus was fantastic they guide was awesome one of things we will never forget. The Short group run Friday morning was also fantastic to meet the other runners and a chance to get out on the track a bit. Our whole team loved the friendship of the crew and our hotel the Lucerne was ace. Thanks again we will be backIt was absolutely the best! Thanks again!! It was great to meet the wider Travelling fit team! My mind was utterly blown at the level of organisation! I saw the enormous A4 planner, and even just that there were 4 buses going from the Sheraton on race day, not to mention that you had social shin digs on every day! Amazing! As for London vs NY....what a production NY put on, not just an expo and run, but the opening ceremony, pasta night, 5km! Trust Americans to put on one amazing party! I did really enjoy the scenery on the London course and think it was a prettier run, but my legs liked the variation of the hills in NY and the spectators were outstanding (even the orthodox Jewish suburb was fascinating!) I had my reservations over whether I'd like NY as much but to be honest, I'm glad I did them in the order I did, I loved both but wonder if that would have been the case if I'd done London later. It is a very heartfelt thank you for a wonderful time! I have been telling people my feet didn't feel like they touched the floor for the run, the same feels pretty true post event too! You guys rock! Thanks!I’m pleased to report that we had a great time and the itinerary ran like clockwork!. On-time flights, no lost bags, very comfortable lodgings in the Lucerne, and the marathon was a blast. On a personal level it was very satisfying to get to both the start line and the finish, and the hospitality shown the Travelling Fit team was terrific. Thanks for all your support and assistance over the past 12 months. You and your group will be the first to come to mind for any plans or recommendations about this kind of holiday that might pop up in future.Hi all, I know that you provide a service in your business but I wanted to "Thank You" for the organisation of the two events I have been involved in through Travelling Fit. The first was New York and although it did not go ahead it was well communicated and I never felt that I was left wondering with the updates and information sent out. I know there was some angst from some people and I could see that they were ill informed and angry. Their anger unfortunately was directed at Travelling fit from a poor perspective of rationalising that someone should pay for the sacrifice that they lost. I am wrapped about the marathon in Tokyo. Its organisation, the course, the weather and also the job that happens from the perspective of Travelling Fit. I know that putting something like this together is hard (albeit that others don't see that) and I just wanted to send my gratitude to you all for just doing what you do. Thank you again and here's to many more bookings in the future!Just a quick note to say thank you for organising me for the NYC Marathon last week. Missing out on 2012 - the fun was a long time in coming. I had an amazing time in NYC and loved meeting the other runners during my time there. It was great having such a large Aussie contingency participating - and for my very first marathon - anywhere - I felt completely in the loop and there was nothing missing from the seamless organisation that Travelling Fit provided at the absolute crack-of-dawn on Sunday 3 November.I just wanted to convey an absolutely MASSIVE 'Thank You' to you both and the rest of the Travelling Fit team for the most wonderful NY Marathon experience. The girls who looked after us all in NY were an absolute credit to Travelling Fit and always had a smile on their face - I can well imagine that they worked non-stop getting everything ready for us all before NY and ensuring that everything was in place for us for the marathon itself. I had an absolute ball. The whole experience was everything I hoped it would be and more - I can't really put into words how much I loved it! Not having to worry about the logistics of getting to the start line in the morning was fantastic... I had a wonderful race - I have never run in anything like that before in my life! I finished in 4:04, knocking 13 mins off my previous marathon PB so was chuffed to bits... I have recommended Travelling Fit to all my triathlon / running buddies and definitely will not hesitate to book through you again! Once again, thank you to all in the Travelling Fit team for everything!I would like to say thank you to the Travelling Fit crew for helping me achieve my goal of completing my first marathon especially in New York. It was a fantastic experience and one I know I won't forget. You guys do an amazing job and I cannot speak highly enough of the job you guys did to get everyone there. I am so happy to have been apart of the 2013 experience and am so happy with my time - I never believed I had a sub 4 hour in me especially first go. I also said I wouldn't do another marathon but two weeks later, you never know. Thanks again and please pass my thanks on to everyone from Travelling Fit.I can't thank the NY team enough and particularly Mari-Mar. When my husband and I were caught up in the LAX shooting and were in lockdown for 10 hours in the airport we not only missed our flight to New York but could not get through to domestic airlines to rebook because of chaos and confusion at the airport. Thanks to Mari-Mar and her team who were so supportive and helpful they managed to organise an early flight out of LAX to get us to New York by Saturday afternoon. I still can't thank you enough as if it hadn't been for you and your quick and efficient help we would have missed out. Your offers of help (we had no luggage for 3 days) was appreciated at quite an upsetting experience. Your support of your runners is just brilliant and I really hope to travel with you guys again! Thank you so much. Thank you so muchJust a follow up email to say thanks for your help and support in organising my New York Marathon trip. It all went really well and the Travelling Fit girls on site were great. I finished the Marathon in 5.09 and was very happy with that effort. The Lucerne Hotel was great and we loved the Upper West Side area (especially the great deli opposite which we frequented heaps). The Marathon was just huge/inspiring/fantastic all in one…..from the Opening Parade on the Friday night , through to the Expo (OMG!!) and the race itself with massive crowds, great music and atmosphere etc. I bought so much expo gear and after the race-finishers gear, that we had to mail a box of stuff back to Australia before we left New York! Thanks again for everything. We were very, very happy with the Travelling Fit package and the support, care and professionalism of the whole Travelling Fit team. Was it all worth it?…a million times over!!Hi Team, just a quick email to say thanks for Travelling Fit's great service once again in my 2015 TCS NY marathon experience! I was thrilled to see Mari-Mar and team on the course somewhere up in the Bronx (?!). All was so well organised (as were my previous NY and London marathons with you). I plan to do more down the track - thanks again!Thank you very much for organising such a seamless and fun event in New York. Finishing the 2015 New York marathon will be a highlight in my life. I will always recommend Travelling Fit as the people to trust to ensure a smooth holiday/run. The Lucerne Hotel was perfectly positioned and very comfortable. My whole experience was amazing!Hi guys, Wanted to thank your team for the most amazing experience in NY! You organised everything so well & it was such a relief to be in capable hands. Wonderful to meet so many other travelling runners & be inspired. We've told all our friends to book through you next year. Thanks again for everything you did to make it such a wonderful trip. Can you please pass on my gratitude for allowing me to tag along with the Travelling Fit group to New York, and thank you for organising my package. I had an absolutely fantastic time and was totally impressed with Travelling Fit’s organisation. I loved the race shirt, which of course attracted a LOT of calls from the spectators (either by name of or Australia). The bus to the start directly from the Lucerne Hotel was priceless and I enjoyed being able to interact with other Australians via the Facebook page. I’ll think about other marathons… maybe Paris or Berlin… and would definitely book through Travelling Fit.Just a note of thanks for the great work you and the team have done to make the New York Marathon such a wonderful experience. Lin and I had a fabulous time in NY running the Dash on the Saturday and of course the Marathon on the Sunday. After experiencing the “Travelling Fit” operations for Berlin, Tokyo and now New York, it is clear you guys are doing a consistently professional job, all have been flawless experiences (from our perspective anyway!) Again, thanks to all the Travelling Fit team, you all do a great job of looking after we the sweaty mob.
Paris Marathon - FranceI want to thank Travelling Fit for having such friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff both in Australia and on the ground overseas and for giving me the opportunity to be more than I ever thought I could be. Once again the Travelling Fit team had it all sorted and they made sure we had a wonderful experience. All we had to do was run 🙂Thank you for a well organised trip. I am super impressed, really I am. Cannot speak highly enough of Travelling Fit. Please convey our gratitude to the Travelling Fit hosts in Paris. They were extremely warm, caring and inclusive. My parents were in awe how chatty they were to them even though they were not doing the marathon. If they ever visited Adelaide - I wouldn’t hesitate in welcoming them. Please please please convey our sincere gratitude to them - and take some of it for yourselves too.I just want to thank you for everything you did for Brooke and I for the Paris Marathon. It was certainly an experience we will never forget. I did somehow complete the marathon which I was so overwhelmed with. Three weeks out I sustained a plantar fascia injury and was unable to run at all until race day which really impeded on my training and fitness. Three days before flying out I found out I had a malignant cancer in my arm and had that cut out resulting with 25 stitches and lots of medication of which I still had for the marathon and to top it off I had a severe head cold on the day too. My aim of a 3:15-3:30 was never in sight and I struggled over the line in a 4:43, but I finished the race of which I probably should not have run considering I was not medically fit at the time. We were so thrilled to meet the other runners and supporters and our guide Michel, we could not speak highly enough of. Everything went so smooth it made our time and the experience stress and hassle free. Once again, thanks for making our Paris trip an absolute joyAs this was my first international event I was unsure what to expect but found everything extremely well organised and easy, using your service certainly made the whole process quite straightforward and stress free, thanks! Our hotel was fabulous...so close to the start and finish.. staff were very nice and helpful. Definitely recommend the hotel to anyone going to Paris. Just great big thank you once again. Paris Marathon was my first ever marathon, and was made more special by sharing the experience with a great group of Aussies.
