The Patagonian International Marathon, held annually in the stunning region of Torres del Paine National Park in Chilean Patagonia, is a unique and challenging race celebrated for its breath-taking scenery. Participants can choose from various distances, including the full marathon, half marathon and 10 kilometres. The Patagonia Marathon Course
The marathon route meanders through a variety of terrains, including rolling hills, rugged mountain paths, and expansive open steppes. Participants are treated to awe-inspiring views of the Paine Massif, the Towers of Paine, and the shimmering Grey Glacier. The course’s elevation changes and uneven surfaces demand a high level of endurance and adaptability from the runners.
Weather conditions in Patagonia add another layer of challenge and excitement. Runners can expect to encounter a mix of sunshine, rain, and strong winds, often all in the span of a few hours. This unpredictable climate tests the preparedness and resilience of the participants.

Entry Fees
All entry fees are included in the cost of your Patagonian International Half Marathon package.
Qualifying Times
There are no qualifying times for this event, however you MUST be at least 18 years old to be eligible to compete.
Start Time
The Patagonian International Half Marathon starts at 11:00am.
Note that you need to be at the start line 1 hour before the actual race start.
Cut-Off Times
There is a 6 hour cut-off for this event.

Pace Setters
There are no official pace setters.
Aid Stations
The aid stations will be positioned approximately every 5 kilometres.
Including the starting line and finish line for all distances, the 42K will have 8 aid stations, the 21K will have 5 aid stations, and the 10K will have 3 aid stations.
Note that you will need to provide your own non-disposable cup
Personal Refreshments and Clothing
You are permitted to leave a small bag at the starting line, in order for it to be delivered to the Finish Line. The bag must be your own personal bag, and be both properly closed and marked with the sticker provided in your kit.
Please remember that while the organization will carefully handle all bags, it is not responsible for any stolen, lost, or damaged items, meaning we recommend that you do not leave any valuable items in the bag.
Expo
There is no Expo associated with the Patagonian International Marathon
Finishes T-Shirts, Medals and Certificates
All finishers who complete the race inside the cut-off time will receive a medal.

The climate in Patagonia in September has an average temperature between 2 and 10°C, with absolutes maximums occasionally reaching 15°C.
