Tina has always been interested in exploring the world and has been in the travel industry straight out of school.
For 20 years she’s enjoyed assisting others with their journeys, in different aspects of travel. With experience at some of Australia’s leading travel companies in organising luxury travel incorporating Business and First Class airfares as well as adventure touring, she’s had the pleasure of researching some of the best destinations in the world.
Over this time she’s had the opportunity to go to some of the most amazing places in the world – Alaska , Mexico, Nepal, South Africa, Turkey, Tokyo, China, New York to name just a few of the highlights.
Joining Travelling Fit in October 2008, she was able to combine her passion for travel and her love of the great outdoors and she’s enjoying assisting runners in their pursuits of completing Marathons all around the world. She has met so many amazing people in her 10 years at Travelling Fit and has got to experience some of the best running events the world has to offer.
Tina had done no competitive running until joining Travelling Fit, but after taking the runners to NY in 2009 and seeing the elation they had as they crossed that finish line, she knew she wanted to give a Marathon a go as well. She completed her first Marathon at the ING New York City Marathon in 2010.
Although she swore she’d retired after that event, she’s has also run the 2011 Virgin London Marathon, 2011 Melbourne Marathon, returned to New York in 2013 (and beat her previous time by one minute) and the 2013 Big Five Marathon in South Africa.
Completing the 100km Trailwalker event in August of 2013 ticked another box for her, although she maintains that was a crazy thing to do.
Taking a short break from running when she had her beautiful daughter in 2014, she’s now back into running full swing and loves to run in the bush – taking on many trail races the last few years.
Her biggest accomplishment in trail running was when she ran (and loved) the Ultra Trail Australia 50KM in May 2018 and is now looking for her next challenge.
Having just returned from an amazing experience at the Great Wall Marathon event, she’s even more sure of her stance on running… there are so many events and not enough time to do them all!
